Nerve Plant (Fittonia)
Caring for your nerve plant
Water:
They don’t like their soil to dry out but they don’t like to be wet either, instead, a ‘barely moist’ atmosphere is the way to go! The plant will ‘faint’ when it is feeling thirsty but don’t get into the habit of letting it faint before you water it!
Sunlight:
Nerve plants prefer bright, indirect light—think north or east-facing windows. Never place them in direct sun.
Extra info:
Nerve plants are from tropical parts of South America and they need a humid environment to thrive. If you notice crispy tips on your plant, it could be lacking water or the humidity levels might not be high enough. Try keeping yours on a pebble tray filled with water to increase humidity. They also love a humid terrarium.
